N.Y. State Governor Eliot Spitzer Needs New Nickname

Crusading N.Y. State Governor Eliot Spitzer will need a new nickname after being linked to a high-class international prostitution ring in Washington, D.C.
The former attorney general swept into office last year promising to clean up state politics and dubbing himself Governor Steamroller.
He may want to consider changing his moniker to Governor Motorboat.
There are plenty of sexy details at The Smoking Gun website and over at The Huffington Post.
But when it’s all said and done, I think James Taylor (who looks a lot like Governor Spitzer) has the best take on what it was like to be the N.Y. State Governor:

WHY OH WHY do you Americans have such an appalling obsession with the sex lives of politicians?
IF this bloke wants to spend 80,000 dollars on call girls, how in the hell does that interfear with his ability to make decision?
And as for his wife, well, she obviously can’t perform in the marital bed and simply stuck with him for his money…..MY god….leave this sort of “Cleo” magazine crap out of politics and LET IT BE….

true very true…..
But my point remains essentially unrefuted.
Elected officials are not perfect.
No-one is….
So why expect perfection?
I myself, would like to take up the cause of honesty in politics.
WE…as the people, should authorize the attachment of a CAMERA to all elected officials.
Special Agents will sit, watching and recording for the benefit of the public…every word, every gesture, every meeting will be recorded. Nothing these people say or do should be private….they are ELECTED on the understanding that for the term og their office, EVERY burp, fart, unofficial orgasam….WILL BE ON SHOW FOR PUBLIC VIEWING.
It will be the price they pay….for making us pay…..So…we, as the people, will have officials scrutinized FOR the people so that we can finally have a government BY the people…..
Any transgressions will result in INSTANT ejection from office, followed by a NEW ELECTION…..it’s the only way forward, and will justify the high cost of these idiots, both in office and for the fat pension earned for good service.
SNIVEL LIBERTARIANS BE DAMNED!!!
This new system will weed out all of the “crap” from elections, simply because it will be understood that if you wish to be elected and actually take office, then your life as a private person DISSAPPERS. Small price to pay for 4 years, really. I can envisage the “Politician’s Channel” getting the ratings through the roof, as the unemployed suddenly have a role to play, sitting at home and watching Cable Political Network, and getting ontheir cell-phones THE MOMENT these people put a step out of place.
WHO SAYS it can’t work? Privacy is an issue only for those with something to hide…
